Located in a subtropical area at 1.800 meters height (5,905') and at the foot of the volcano Tungurahua 5’016m (16,456'), this charming little town is well known for its thermal spring swimming pools, an ideal place to relax. You will discover the city center, the cathedral, the balsa and tagua (vegetal ivory) workrooms, the small zoo where you can get to know the Amazonian fauna.
Sports enthusiasts will be able to enjoy a thrilling downhill mountain bike ride along the road leading to Amazonia, passing amazing waterfalls and spectacular canyons. Horse riding or walking is also possible.
