Built by the Spanish invader on the ruin of an INCA city, Quito has maintained an undeniable colonial flavor.  First city in the world declared “Cultural heritage of the world” by UNESCO, its historical center boasts over sixty churches and convents, which earned the nickname of "Florence of Americas".

We visit the equinoxial line (Mitad del Mundo), located 30 km North of Quito, this imaginary line divides our planet into the two hemispheres and is at the origin of the name of the country. Here we will visit a monument, which houses a small very interesting ethnological museum.
